Regular Season Round 3: Coburg - Speyer 114-80

There was no surprise when Speyer (0-2) was outplayed on the road by Coburg (2-1) 114-80 on Saturday. Coburg made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a great evening for Moritz Plescher (195-0, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-99) helped adding 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Coburg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Darian Cardenas (199-95) with 29 points and Bosnian center Simun Kovac (203-96, college: Concord) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Coburg will face Arvato College Wizards (#10) in Karlsruhe in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Speyer will play at home against White Wings and hopes to get finally their first victory.
