Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Adana: Botas (#8) and Adana Basket (#11). Botas (3-3) crushed visiting Adana Basket (2-5) by 28 points 78-50. Botas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Adana Basket's players. It was a great evening for Sehernaz Cidal (183-95) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International center Tilbe Senyurek (190-95) helped adding 19 points. At the losing side American guard Shaqwedia Wallace (175-89, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) responded with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Lithuanian forward Gabija Meskonyte (181-98) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Botas moved-up to seventh place. Loser Adana Basket dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Botas will face higher ranked Nesibe (#3) in Ankara in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Adana Basket will play at home against Besiktas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
