Regular Season Round 6: Fethiye - Besiktas 87-83

Bottom-ranked Besiktas (0-6) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to fifteenth ranked Fethiye (2-4) 87-83. Fethiye players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: UT Arlington) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists. The other American import forward Darion Atkins (203-92, college: Virginia) contributed with 9 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Fethiye players scored in double figures. Fethiye's coach Alkim Ay used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard James Blackmon Jr. (193-95, college: Indiana) replied with 32 points and power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) added 17 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Besiktas. Fethiye moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Besiktas at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Fethiye's next round opponent will be league's leader Anadolu Efes in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Besiktas will play at home against Gaziantep (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
