The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Slavia (2-1) in Sofia on Tuesday night. Hosts were rolled over by Montana 2003 (4-0) 81-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Slavia. They outrebounded Slavia 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Montana 2003 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin guard Snezana Aleksic (173-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Brazilian forward Isabela Lyra (180-94) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international guard Veronika Djikova (179-90) responded with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the former international forward Tsvetomira Sharenkapova (184-91) scored 11 points. Slavia's coach Silvia Peeva gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Montana 2003 have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Montana 2003 maintains first position with 4-0 record. Slavia at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Beroe. Montana 2003 are looking forward to face Academic PL (#4) in Plovdiv in the next round. Slavia will play at home against the league's second-placed Beroe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
