Regular Season Round 7: Fethiye - Anadolu Efes 84-90

Undefeated leader Anadolu Efes delivered the seventh consecutive victory. This time they beat 11th ranked Fethiye (2-5) 90-84. Anadolu Efes brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian guard Krunoslav Simon (197-85) who helped to win the game recording 42 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws). French forward Adrien Moerman (202-88) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Anadolu Efes' coach Ergin Ataman allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Elgin Cook (197-93, college: Oregon, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: UT Arlington) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Fethiye. Four Fethiye players scored in double figures. Anadolu Efes (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row, which they share with Fenerbahce. Newly promoted Fethiye dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Anadolu Efes will play against Afyon Bld (#5) in Afyonkarahisar in the next round. Fethiye will play on the road against Gaziantep (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
