There was no surprise when 9th ranked Vilnius (2-4) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Silute (3-2) 98-78. Silute forced 24 Vilnius turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by American forward Kahlil Thomas (203-94, college: Rider) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) supported him with 17 points and 4 assists. Four Silute players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds by Greek Andreas Kalogiros (198-2) did not help to save the game for Vilnius. Center Martynas Pacevicius (204-97, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Silute maintains seventh position with 3-2 record. Vilnius lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with four games lost. Silute's next round opponent will be Palanga (#10) at home. Vilnius will play against Delikatesas in Joniskis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
