Regular Season Round 7: Bakken - Wolfpack 109-57

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aarhus. Third ranked Bakken faced leader Wolfpack. Host Bakken (5-1) smashed guests from Herlev (3-3) 109-57. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Wolfpack's 30 and made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Bakken had a 41-29 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Bakken brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard QJ Peterson (183-94, college: VMI) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. Cameroonian center Bertrand Awana (206-97, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) came up with 7 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Dee Franklin (196-92, college: FVSU) added 16 points respectively for Wolfpack in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Wolfpack at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Bakken's next round opponent will be league's leader Svendborg at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wolfpack will play against the league's second-placed Vaerlose and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
