Regular Season Round 5: Ginasio - Sangalhos 75-85

Bottom-ranked Ginasio is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to sixth ranked Sangalhos (2-2) 85-75. Sangalhos forced 22 Ginasio turnovers. American forward Tamyrik Fields (198-96, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and guard Bernardo Almeida (182-96) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds. Sangalhos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Goncalo Barbosa (198-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Tim Graham (198, college: Academy of Art) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Ginasio players scored in double figures. Sangalhos moved-up to third place, which they share with CA Queluz and Academia. Ginasio at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Sangalhos will play against league's leader Povoa on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ginasio will play against Galomar (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
