Rather expected game when 5th ranked Horsens IC (4-3) lost to third ranked BAC (2-5) in Aarhus 116-122 on Saturday. BAC made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Horsens IC turnovers. Strangely Horsens IC outrebounded BAC 55-42 including 42 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Horsens IC's players. The winners were led by American center Keane Thomann (211-89, college: MSSU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Marius Kirkholt (183-97) supported him with 10 points, 25 assists and 4 steals. BAC's coach Thomas Hemmingsen used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 27 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by American guard David Efianayi (188-95, college: Gardner-Webb) did not help to save the game for Horsens IC. His fellow American import guard Gage Davis (193-95, college: St.Cloud St.) added 22 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. BAC maintains third position with 2-5 record behind leader Bakken. Loser Horsens IC keeps the fifth place with three games lost. BAC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Aarhus to the arena Bakken.
