ProB top team - Koblenz (4-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Muenchen 2 (1-3) 71-67. Muenchen 2 was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Brian Butler (196-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American DJ Woodmore (190-92, college: VWU) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Koblenz players scored in double figures. Jason George (201-98) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Austrian point guard Erol Ersek (193-99) added 21 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Muenchen 2. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Koblenz have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Koblenz maintains first place in South with 4-0 record. Muenchen 2 lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Koblenz will face Oberhaching (#10) in Deisenhofen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muenchen 2 will play at home against Erfurt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
