Regular Season Round 2: Goettingen - Braunschweig 79-76

A very close game took place in Goettingen between BG Goettingen and Braunschweig. BG Goettingen got a very close home victory over Braunschweig. BG Goettingen managed to escape with a 3-point win 79-76 on Saturday evening. British guard Luke Nelson (191-95, college: UC Irvine) scored 21 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Tai Odiase (206-95, college: UIC) chipped in 19 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. The former international Karim Jallow (198-97) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Bryon Allen (193-92, college: GMU) scored 22 points. Four Braunschweig players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. BG Goettingen will meet Chemnitz on the road in the next round. Braunschweig will play against Rasta Vechta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
