An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Botevgrad. Fourth ranked Beroe faced their close opponent Balkan. Guests from Stara Zagora (2-3) defeated host Balkan (2-2) 79-72. Beroe forced 19 Balkan turnovers. The former international Pavel Marinov (199-88) scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Brady Rose (190-96, college: IWU) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Tajuan Agee (206-97, college: Iona) with 22 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Davonta Jordan (188-97, college: Buffalo) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Despite that victory Beroe went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Cherno More and Yambol. Defending champion Balkan keeps the fourth place with two games lost. Beroe will meet Cherno More (#7) in the next round. Balkan will play against the league's leader Levski Lukoil in Sofia and hope to secure a win.
