We should mention about the upset which took place in Schwenningen, where higher ranked Bayer Giants (2-4) lost to thirteenth ranked Schwenningen (2-3) in a road game 80-85. Schwenningen players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American Shaun Willett (193-96, college: Queens, NC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Lithuanian Rytis Pipiras (201-95) contributed with 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. Center Eddy Edigin (201-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Haris Hujic (193-97) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Bayer Giants. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Schwenningen moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kirchheim and Nuernberg. Bayer Giants lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Paderborn. Schwenningen will play against Walter Tigers (#13) in Tuebingen in the next round where they are favorite. Bayer Giants will play at home against Ehingen/Urspringschule and hope to get back on the winning track.
