Arvato College Wizards' fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Oberhaching (1-4) 94-70. Arvato College Wizards made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Arvato College Wizards outrebounded Oberhaching 42-22 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Oberhaching helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American Alexander Thompson (203-95, college: Samford) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Rouven Roessler (198-80) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Four Arvato College Wizards players scored in double figures. Peter Zeis (196-89) produced 22 points and Janosch Koegler (190-93) added 16 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Arvato College Wizards (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place in South, which they share with Muenchen 2. It was Oberhaching's fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Arvato College Wizards' next round opponent will be higher ranked Speyer (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oberhaching will play against the league's leader Koblenz and will have a slim chance for a victory.
