Regular Season Round 3: Bayreuth - Bonn 83-77
Date: November 19, 2020
There was no surprise when Telekom Baskets (0-3) lost on the road to Bayreuth (2-1) 83-77. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bayreuth made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Ryan Woolridge (190-96, college: Gonzaga, agency: Wasserman) who scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard David Walker (198-93, college: Northeastern) chipped in 21 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St., agency: Wasserman) who recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian Strahinja Micovic (205-92, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Telekom Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bayreuth's next round opponent will be Rasta Vechta (#18) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Telekom Baskets will play against Hamburg Towers and look forward to get finally their first victory.
