Bottom-ranked Arkadia Lions (0-7) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to ninth ranked Timberwolves (2-5) 78-70. The game without a history. Timberwolves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Arkadia Lions outrebounded Timberwolves 37-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. Guard Jakob Szkutta (188-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 4 assists. Bosnian forward Nemanja Nikolic (202-89) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Timberwolves' coach Hubert Schmidt allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Croatian forward Dani Koljanin (202-96, college: UALR) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and Croatian center Mario Spaleta (209-95) added 14 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Arkadia Lions. Timberwolves moved-up to eighth place. Arkadia Lions at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Timberwolves' next round opponent will be Kapfenberg Bulls (#9) on the road. Arkadia Lions will play against Gunners Oberwart and hope to get finally their first victory.
