Date: November 21, 2020
Bottom-ranked Deutsch-Wagram is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fourth ranked Raiders Tirol (4-3) 100-86 on Saturday evening. Deutsch-Wagram was trailing by 16 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 28-11 charge of Raiders Tirol, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Deutsch-Wagram's 36 and made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Raiders Tirol forced 19 Deutsch-Wagram turnovers. The winners were led by Luxembourg forward Oliver Vujakovic (192-96) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and Slovenian swingman Rene Gradolnik (194-98) supported him with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds by Slovakian forward Branislav Balvan (195-0) did not help to save the game for Deutsch-Wagram. Serbian guard Nikola Letic (185-0) added 22 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Raiders Tirol have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Deutsch-Wagram still closes the standings with five games lost. Raiders Tirol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Deutsch-Wagram will play against the league's second-placed Mustangs (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
