Regular Season Round 3: Bayreuth - MBC 99-81

Everything went according to plan when Bayreuth (2-1) defeated at home MBC (0-2) 99-81. Bayreuth made 25-of-28 charity shots (89.3 percent) during the game, while MBC only scored four points from the stripe. It was a great shooting night for Bayreuth especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American Matt Tiby (203-92, college: Milwaukee) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Frank Bartley-IV (190-94, college: La-Lafayette, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 19 points. Bartley IV is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian point guard Roko Rogic (187-92) who recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Quinton Hooker (183-95, college: N.Dakota) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Four Bayreuth and five MBC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bayreuth's next round opponent will be Rasta Vechta (#18) on the road which should be an easy win for them. MBC will play against Bayern Muenchen (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
