Regular Season Round 12: Erebuni - BKMA 101-98

The most exciting game of round 12 in the League A took place in Yerevan. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked BKMA (3-10) to sixth ranked Erebuni (4-8) 101-98 in the game for the sixth place. The hosts trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 55-41 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Erebuni looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by BKMA's players. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Jordan Taylor (198-98, college: Stockton, agency: Big Game Management Inc.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Tavis-Pistol Smith (190-99, college: Belm.Abbey) contributed with 22 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Taylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Swingman Javonte Matthews (195-95, college: St.Katherine) replied with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Reggie George (208-84, college: RMU) added 18 points and 17 rebounds in the effort for BKMA. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Erebuni maintains sixth position with 4-8 record. Newly promoted BKMA keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Erebuni will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BKMA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Yerevan to the arena Supersonics.
