Regular Season Round 10: Hoverla - Lutsk Univ. 60-65

Leader Lutsk Univ. recorded the eighth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat bottom-ranked Hoverla (0-8) 65-60 in Ivano-Frankivsk. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-14. But Hoverla won second period 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Vladislav Ungurian (190-95) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Sergiy Yurchenko (202-87) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Lutsk Univ.'s coach Vladimir Zhurzhiy used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side center Stepan Lesyk (205-2) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and forward Volodymyr Drozdov (199-2) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Lutsk Univ. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-2 record. Loser Hoverla still closes the standings with eight games lost. They share the position with Invasport and Novomoskovsk. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
