The game in Yerevan was also quite interesting. Second ranked Vahakni City (9-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Cilicia (2-8). Vahakni City defeated Cilicia 100-88 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Vahakni City. Cilicia managed to win second period 25-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vahakni City looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Cilicia's players. American players dominated also this game. The winners were led by guard Tade Keshishyan (185-94, college: Bristol) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 14 assists and guard Darious Clark (193-90, college: Slippery Rock) supported him with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Clark is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Vahakni City players scored in double figures. Vahakni City's coach Ogi Moljevic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 40 points (!!!), 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by forward William Jenkins (201-96, college: Virginia Union) did not help to save the game for Cilicia. Forward Christian Robertson (195-96, college: UAPB) added 20 points. Vahakni City have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-3 record having just one point less than leader Urartu, which they share with Mad Foxes. Newly promoted Cilicia stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. Vahakni City will meet league's leader Urartu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cilicia will play against Dvin (#4) and hope to secure a win.
