Regular Season Round 8: KOS - Flames 72-57

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Flames (2-1) in Celovec on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked KOS (4-1) 72-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Flames. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-57. KOS outrebounded Flames 50-33 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Timi Huber (179-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds. Slovenian point guard Jernej Heine (191-0) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Ben Seipt (196-96) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Julian Alper (180-0) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Flames. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KOS moved-up to second place. Flames at the other side keep the fifth position with one game lost. KOS are looking forward to face Furstenfeld Panthers (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Flames will have a break next round.
