Regular Season Round 10: Triglav - Konjice 78-52

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Triglav as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Triglav smashed 5th ranked Konjice in Kranj 78-52. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Konjice to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Triglav made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Konjice 50-20 including a 40-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Triglav looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Katja Kotnik (190-90, college: Eckerd, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds. Manca Vrecer (178-2) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Triglav players scored in double figures. Guard Tia Tajhar (166-2) replied with 14 points and 7 assists and guard Ajsa Sivka (176-5) added 16 points in the effort for Konjice. Triglav (8-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Konjice at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Konjice will play next round against Ledita D. trying to get back on the winning streak. Triglav will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Jezica in Ljubljana.
