Regular Season Round 11: Aistes-LSMU - Kibirkstis-VKM 75-37

Moteru Lyga top team - Aistes-LSMU (5-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Kibirkstis-VKM (0-5) in Kaunas 75-37. Aistes-LSMU dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kibirkstis-VKM's 24 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Aistes-LSMU forced 35 Kibirkstis-VKM turnovers. Kibirkstis-VKM was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Martyna Petrenaite (181-98, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points. Guard Urte Slavickaite (171-97) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Center Emilija Grigaliunaite (190-2) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and forward Gabriele Sedereviciute (183-4) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Aistes-LSMU. Despite that victory Aistes-LSMU went down to second position due to points difference. Kibirkstis-VKM lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Aistes-LSMU will play against league's leader Kibirkstis in Vilnius in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kibirkstis-VKM will play on the road against Siauliu Siauliai (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
