The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Herner TC (3-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Osnabrueck (2-2) 68-62. Osnabrueck forced 23 Herner TC turnovers. Austrian-Hungarian forward Kata Takacs (185-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Forward Frieda Buehner (184-4) contributed with 6 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward AeRianna Harris (185-98, college: Purdue) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian swingman Kristina Topuzovic (183-94) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Herner TC. Osnabrueck moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Goettingen and Hannover. Herner TC at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Osnabrueck is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Gisa Lions (#12) in Halle in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Herner TC will play on the road against Hannover (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
