No shocking result in a game in Hanau where eighth ranked White Wings (2-5) won against 12th ranked Skyliners II (1-7) 69-61 on Saturday. White Wings forced 26 Skyliners II turnovers. It was a great evening for Felix Hecker (192-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Josef Eichler (201-87) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. At the losing side Matthew Meredith (200-0) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Philipp Hadenfeldt (188-99) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. White Wings maintains eighth place in South with 2-5 record. Loser Skyliners II keeps the twelfth position with seven games lost. White Wings will face higher ranked Giessen 2 (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Skyliners II will play against Arvato College Wizards (#6) and hope to win that game.
