Regular Season Round 6: Aabyhoj - Herlev 64-60

The biggest surprise took place in Aabyhoj where host Aabyhoj (2-3) beat league's leader Herlev (3-2) 64-60 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Herlev won fourth quarter 17-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aabyhoj forced 24 Herlev turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Nikoline Sandback (169-1) who scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Alberte Rimdal (174-2) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Aabyhoj's coach Susanne Bay used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Laura Ziegler (186-2) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and international forward Emilie Hesseldal (186-90, college: Colorado St.) added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals respectively. Aabyhoj maintains fourth position with 2-3 record. Herlev at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Amager. Herlev will play next round against strong Horsholm trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Aabyhoj will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked SISU in Copenhagen.
