Jahn Muenchen can celebrate finally their first win this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Bamberg (0-2) 58-53. Forward Paula Graichen (190-3) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Talena Fackler (178-3) supported her with 16 points. Even a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds by American guard DaJonee Hale (173-94, college: CMU) did not help to save the game for Bamberg. Swingman Julia Foerner (176-1) added 14 points. Four Bamberg players scored in double figures. Jahn Muenchen (1-2) left bottom position moving up to sixth place in South, which they share with Speyer and Saarlouis/Dillingen. Bamberg at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Jahn Muenchen's next round opponent will be higher ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz (#4) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Bamberg will play against Weiterstadt (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
