There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Rist Wedel (2-6) beat at home higher ranked SSV Lok Bernau (4-5) 85-74 on Sunday. Rist Wedel forced 19 SSV Lok Bernau turnovers and outrebounded them 41-27 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Tucker Haymond (198-94, college: W.Michigan) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 5 steals. Naturalized Nigerian Osaro Rich (190-98) helped adding 19 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American-Bosnian point guard Abdulah Kameric (193-0) responded with 21 points and naturalized British Liam Carpenter (188-96) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rist Wedel maintains eleventh place in North with 2-6 record. Loser SSV Lok Bernau dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Rist Wedel will have a break next round.
