No shocking result in a game in Bursa where eighth ranked Tofas (5-5) smashed 13th ranked Fethiye (3-6) 110-81 on Wednesday. Tofas dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Fethiye's 40. They outrebounded Fethiye 41-19 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tofas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. British-American guard Tarik Phillip (191-93, college: WVU) fired 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Trinidad and Tobago-American Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Branden Frazier (190-92, college: Fordham, agency: BeoBasket) produced 16 points and 6 assists and Nigerian center Abdul-Malik Abu (203-95, college: NC State) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Tofas and four Fethiye players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tofas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Afyon and Petkim. Newly promoted Fethiye keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. Tofas will face Gaziantep (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fethiye will play against Dacka and hope to win that game.
