We should mention about the upset which took place in Istanbul, where higher ranked Acibadem (4-5) lost at home to fourteenth ranked Galatasaray (4-6) 78-95 on Wednesday. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Daryl Macon (190-95, college: Arkansas) fired 29 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Australian Brock Motum (208-90, college: WSU) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Galatasaray's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Shannon Evans II (185-94, college: ASU) produced 17 points and 8 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and his fellow American import center Josh Owens (206-88, college: Stanford, agency: Network Sports International) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Galatasaray moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Darussafaka. Loser Acibadem dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Galatasaray will face Buyukcekmece (#11) at home in the next round.
