Regular Season Round 10: Svendborg - Naestved 83-86

A very close game took place in Svendborg between Naestved and Svendborg. Fourth ranked Naestved (8-3) got a very close victory on the road over their close opponent Svendborg (8-3). Naestved managed to escape with a 3-point win 86-83 in the fight for the second place. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Svendborg won fourth quarter 24-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. British forward Samuel Idowu (204-97, college: St.Peter's) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian-Jamaican guard Jahmal Jones (186-91, college: Ryerson) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American-Nigerian forward Sidney Umude (201-95, college: Southern) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Brandon Tabb (193-95, college: BCU) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Svendborg's coach Jimmy Moore tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Naestved moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Svendborg. Naestved will meet at home Randers (#4) in the next round. Svendborg will play against Randers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
