Arkadia Lions can celebrate finally their first win this season after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Kapfenberg Bulls (2-4) 71-65. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kapfenberg Bulls won third quarter 20-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Arkadia Lions won last quarter 21-16. Australian-British forward Adam Thoseby (198-91, college: GSW) nailed 17 points and 8 assists for the winning side and Croatian forward Dani Koljanin (202-96, college: UALR) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Thoseby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center Alex Herrera (206-92, college: Fort Lewis) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Ian Moschik (203-96) added 15 points respectively for Kapfenberg Bulls in the defeat. Five Arkadia Lions and four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Arkadia Lions maintains tenth place with 1-8 record. It was Kapfenberg Bulls' fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Arkadia Lions' next round opponent will be higher ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#6) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
