Regular Season Round 4: Brasov - Constanta 82-53

An interesting game for Brasov (4-1) which hosted in Brasov one of their biggest challengers Constanta (3-2). Third ranked Brasov had an easy win 82-53. The game was mostly controlled by Brasov. Constanta managed to win second period 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Constanta to just 6 points in first quarter. Brasov dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Constanta's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Constanta's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian Biljana Pesovic (180-83) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Serbian point guard Ines Corda (169-95) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Brasov players scored in double figures. Brasov's coach Daniel Calancea felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Denia Davis-Stewart (185-98, college: Merrimack) replied with 5 points and 15 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Nikki McDonald (183-96, college: Georgia South) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Constanta. Brasov have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Satu Mare. Constanta at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Targoviste.
