No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked CSM Targoviste (3-2) beat at home 10th ranked Alexandria (1-4) 58-47 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by CSM Targoviste. Alexandria managed to win fourth quarter 13-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Alexandria 45-26 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international Gabriela Irimia (183-90) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Ancuta Stoenescu (175-80) supported her with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 13 points and 4 assists by point guard Mihaela Mihai (169-90) did not help to save the game for Alexandria. Mihaela Mazilu (170-2) added 12 points for lost side. CSM Targoviste moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Constanta. Alexandria lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with four games lost.
