Regular Season Round 10: Vaerlose - Randers 84-103

Top ranked Vaerlose (3-7) recorded its seventh loss at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by third ranked Randers (7-2) 103-84. The game without a history. Randers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game, while Vaerlose only scored six points from the stripe. Randers shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Chris Nielsen (193-85) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists. American forward Brantley Bynum (196-94, college: SF State) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. South Sudanese center Koch Bar (208-96, college: Bradley) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Peter Moller (190-94, college: MSU Denver) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Vaerlose. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Vaerlose's coach Susie Heede-Andersen rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Randers have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Randers went down to fourth position due to points difference. Vaerlose at the other side dropped to the second place with seven games lost. Randers will play against league's second-placed Naestved on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Vaerlose will play against BAC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
