Liga Nationala top team - Satu Mare (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Rapid Bucuresti (1-3) 92-50. The game without a history. Satu Mare led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Rapid Bucuresti's 22 and made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Satu Mare forced 23 Rapid Bucuresti turnovers and outrebounded them 48-18 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Satu Mare players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American swingman Erica Covile (185-94, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds and the other American import guard Bria Goss (178-92, college: Kentucky) who added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Satu Mare players scored in double figures. Coach Maikel Lopez's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side the former international guard Florina Stanici-Diaconu (170-82) responded with 12 points and 7 assists and Moldovan guard Natalia Burlakova (175-84) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Satu Mare have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Sf.Gheorghe. Rapid Bucuresti lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with three games lost. Satu Mare will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rapid Bucuresti will play on the road against Oradea (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
