Regular Season Round 16: Cilicia - Mad Foxes 107-117

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Yerevan: Mad Foxes (#2) and Cilicia (#8). Cilicia was defeated at home 107-117 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Mad Foxes. Cilicia managed to win third quarter 31-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mad Foxes shot 66.2 percent from the field. Mad Foxes outrebounded Cilicia 45-30 including a 38-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Arkadiy Mkrtychyan (204-95, college: Idaho) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists and American guard Lister Antione (193-98, college: PVAMU) who added 34 points (!!!) during the contest. Mkrtychyan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Mad Foxes players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward William Jenkins (201-96, college: Virginia Union) responded with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Dylan Spriggins (198-92, college: Limestone) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Newly promoted Mad Foxes maintains second position with 12-4 record behind leader Vahakni City. Cilicia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost.
