Regular Season Round 8: Herlev - Aabyhoj 77-67

An interesting game for Herlev (5-2) which hosted in Herlev 4th ranked Aabyhoj (3-4). Second ranked Herlev managed to get a 10-point victory 77-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aabyhoj. Aabyhoj was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Herlev made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Laura Ziegler (186-2) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and international forward Emilie Hesseldal (186-90, college: Colorado St.) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Herlev players scored in double figures. International guard Alberte Rimdal (174-2) responded with 20 points and international forward Malene Pedersen (180-1) scored 14 points. Aabyhoj's coach Susanne Bay rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Herlev maintains second position with 5-2 record having just one point less than leader Amager. Aabyhoj at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Herlev will play against league's leader Amager in Kastrup in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aabyhoj will have a break next round.
