Skyliners II's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Arvato College Wizards (3-4) 79-75 on Saturday. Skyliners II outrebounded Arvato College Wizards 38-22 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by point guard Philipp Hadenfeldt (188-99) who scored that evening 20 points and 8 assists and Noah Kamdem (198-98) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by center Eyke Prahst (209-97) did not help to save the game for Arvato College Wizards. Christoph Rupp (195-94) added 19 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Skyliners II maintains twelfth position in South with 1-6 record. Newly promoted Arvato College Wizards keep the sixth place with four games lost. Skyliners II will meet higher ranked Koblenz (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Arvato College Wizards will play against Erfurt and hope to secure a win.
