Regular Season Round 6: Frankivsk - Dynamo-NPU 81-83

Fifth-ranked Frankivsk (5-7) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Dynamo-NPU (10-2) in Ivano-Frankivsk. The visitors from Kyiv managed to secure only two-point victory 83-81. However their fans expected easier game. Frankivsk was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 28-13 third quarter run of Dynamo-NPU. They also forced 21 Frankivsk turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American guard Andreona Keys (178-95, college: Purdue) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Aliyah Jeune (185, college: USC) chipped in 24 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Keys is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Arina Bilotserkivska (170-89) with 29 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals and Veronika Kosmach (177-1) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dynamo-NPU moved-up to second place, which they share with Kyiv Basket. Frankivsk lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Dynamo-NPU will play against league's leader Prometey in Kamianske in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Frankivsk will play on the road against Chaika (#4) in Berdiansk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
