Regular Season Round 8: Bernau - Koeln 94-84

Undefeated Koeln (4-1) recorded its first loss on the court of seventh ranked SSV Lok Bernau. Visitors were defeated by SSV Lok Bernau 94-84. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Koeln. SSV Lok Bernau dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Koeln's 30. Worth to mention a great performance of Christoph Tilly (210-3) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American center Dan Oppland (201-84, college: Valpo) who added 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. American point guard Vincent Golson (173-94, college: CSUDH) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists and center Yannick Kneesch (204-96) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Koeln players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SSV Lok Bernau (4-4) moved-up to fifth place in North. Newly promoted Koeln keeps the second position with one game lost. SSV Lok Bernau will play against Iserlohn (#7) at home in the next round. Koeln will play against TKS 49ers (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
