Skyliners can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Chemnitz, where they defeated Chemnitz (0-4) 83-70 on Sunday. Skyliners made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Chemnitz turnovers. Chemnitz was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Matt Mobley (193-94, college: St.Bonaventure) who scored 29 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Naturalized Swiss forward Michael Kessens (206-91, college: FIU) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Skyliners players scored in double figures. American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Players Group) produced 21 points and international forward Jan-Niklas Wimberg (206-96) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Chemnitz's coach Rodrigo Pastore rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Skyliners (1-3) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with Wuerzburg. It was Chemnitz's fourth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with four games lost. Skyliners will face higher ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chemnitz will play against s Oliver Baskets (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
