Regular Season Round 11: Botas - Kayseri 79-60

There was no surprise in Adana where 11th ranked Kayseri (2-8) was crushed by eighth ranked Botas (5-5) 79-60 on Sunday. Botas dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kayseri's 26. Botas had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kayseri's players. The best player for the winners was Russian forward Marina Bas (194-85) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. American power forward Elizabeth Williams (190-93, college: Duke) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. British-Anguillan forward Mikiah Herbert-Harrigan (188-98, college: S.Carolina) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and Greek-American guard Jacki Gemelos (182-88, college: USC) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Botas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Izmit. Loser Kayseri keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Elazig and Adana Basket. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
