Regular Season Round 5: Yambol - Levski Lukoil 75-105

NBL top team - Levski Lukoil (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Yambol (1-2) 105-75. Levski Lukoil made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Levski Lukoil especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The winners were led by the former international swingman Hristo Zahariev (198-90) who scored that evening 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (184-86, college: WKU) supported him with 17 points and 7 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by international power forward Andrey Ivanov (206-96) did not help to save the game for Yambol. The former international Ivan Lilov (194-88) added 16 points and 5 assists for lost side. Five Levski Lukoil and four Yambol players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Levski Lukoil have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Yambol at the other side keeps the seventh place with two games lost. Levski Lukoil will play against Chernomorets (#8) in Burgas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Yambol will play on the road against Academik Plovdiv to get more than just one victory in their record.
