Regular Season Round 17: Suduva-Mantinga - Neptunas-Akv. 86-62

NKL top team - Suduva-Mantinga (12-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Neptunas-Akv. (5-5) in Marijampole 86-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Neptunas-Akv.. Suduva-Mantinga shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) nailed 19 points for the winning side and swingman Kostas Jonuska (195-92) accounted for 12 points. Guard Matas Vaitkus (183-0) came up with 17 points and Dovydas Romancenko (206-98) added 10 points respectively for Neptunas-Akv. in the defeat. Neptunas-Akv.'s coach Simonas Serapinas already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Suduva-Mantinga have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-2 record. Neptunas-Akv. at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Silute (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Mazeikiai and hopes to get back on the winning track.
