Rather expected game when 10th ranked Lions (1-9) lost to eighth ranked Flames (3-2) in Vienna 68-81. It was a great evening for point guard Julian Alper (180-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Lorenz Gerstendorfer (192-98) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. Lithuanian Benius Urbonavicius (200-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and Italian Gianluca Prosek (198-0) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Flames keep a position of league leader, which they share with Piraten. Lions lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the tenth place with nine games lost. Flames will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lions will play on the road against Furstenfeld Panthers (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
