Regular Season Round 9: Mamak - Final Spor 77-74

A very interesting game took place in Ankara. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Final Spor (3-5) to fourteenth ranked Mamak (4-5) 77-74 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Final Spor. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Anthony Lee (206-91, college: Ohio St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: RMU) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists. Mamak's coach Murat Dikmen used entire bench in such tough game. Center Chris Harris (208-97, college: Houston, agency: Inception Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Terrell Allen (190-97, college: Georgetown) added 18 points and 8 assists respectively for Final Spor in the defeat. Four Final Spor players scored in double figures. Mamak moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Sigortam.net. Final Spor at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Mamak's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Istanbul (#16) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Final Spor's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bursa Gemlik.
