KBSL top team - Fenerbahce (11-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Cankaya (6-4) in Ankara 86-71. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Cankaya's 34. Fenerbahce forced 22 Cankaya turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Kayla McBride (180-92, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and German forward Satou Sabally (193-98, college: Oregon, agency: Wasserman) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Croatian-American guard Shavonte Zellous (178-86, college: Pittsburgh) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Tan White (170-82, college: MSU) scored 21 points and 4 assists. Fenerbahce have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-0 record. Cankaya at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. Fenerbahce will play against Izmit (#7) in Kocaeli in the next round where they are favorite.
