Regular Season Round 12: Triglav - Celje 44-76

Top ranked Triglav (11-2) recorded its second loss in Kranj on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by second ranked Celje (10-2) 76-44. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Triglav. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Celje. Triglav managed to win fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Triglav to just 6 points in first quarter. Celje dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Triglav's 24. Celje forced 27 Triglav turnovers and outrebounded them 44-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Celje have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 10-2 record behind leader Triglav. Triglav at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Celje are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Maribor (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Triglav will play against Ilrija (#5) in Ljubljana and is hoping to win this game.
